2011 is pretty much over (fast, wasn’t it?) & this year seen a lot of great releases for the ever-so dope Sony powerhouse. With the hundreds of games that are out there, I, The Coolest Nerd on The Internet (it’s a fact, ask Obama)will break down the ones that matter the most, the ones that if you have a PS3, you NEED in your possession
5: NBA 2K12
Last year’s version was no doubt the best Sports game out, & i must say this year’s is no different. Everything has improved, from Game Presentation (it really feels like your watching a NBA broadcast on TV), to players looks, to even the dope My Player mode has gotten even better. If you like Basketball, hell if you like Sports, go cop!
4. Mass Effect 2
Some of you are probably wondering why a game that came out last year for Xbox 360 can be a game of the year for 2011 on PS3. Well, because its THAT damn good. It’s a best of all-worlds type game because it switches from 1st to 3rd person view, elements of an RPG with Sandbox style open world gameplay. The action, the great voice acting & one of the best stories you’ll see in a Video Game this year. if you never played the 1st one that’s ok, cause it gives you a quick wrap-up of what happened before the story starts (or you can go buy the 1st one for xbox 360, just sayin’). it’s definitely long, but itl be well worth your time, Trust Me.
3. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Ok, i have to admit, i am not a fan of CoD like half of America is, but real recognizes real. Out of all of the CoD’s out, this has the BEST story hands down, but your not here for the Story Mode are you? Yes, the Multi-player is better than ever as well, IMO not as fun as Black Ops: Zombies, but its still very vast & deep. Weapons are more powerful & easier to operate & of course fun. Call of Duty heads, Rejoice!
2. Batman: Arkham City
Man, this was a close one for Numero Uno, i almost had it tied for what is number 1 on this list! This is the BEST Superhero game ever. It’s funny cause i thought the 1st one (Batman: Arkham Asylum) was the best, but this blows the 1st one away! its Perfect, it has everything you’d want in a Superhero game, Everything! it makes you feel as if you REALLY are Batman. The world of Arkham City looks amazing & is so huge. The Voice Acting, the hand-to-hand combat, The Riddler’s mini-games is so addicting, the action, the Art/character Design, i can really go on & on. Speaking of the characters, did i mention you can be Catwoman as well? And Robin? And Nightwing? And different Batman suits? Incredible. And to think, this is Number 2! just imagine what & how good my choice for number 1 is!
1. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
Let me just say this, if you don’t like this game, you don’t like anything good, at all, period! Uncharted 2 was without a doubt the Best Game of 2009 & i thought developer Naughty Dog wasn’t going to be able to top that, i was Dead Wrong. To me, by far the best storytelling in any video game, ever. Yes, that’s a big statement, but its so true. It’s almost like your playing a big Summer Hollywood Blockbuster. The action is tremendous, The levels are huge & look Beautiful, Voice acting is top-notch & the Online Multi-Player is just as fun as Modern Warfare’s. Maybe even more fun (yeah, i said it!) & its only getting better with various DLC’s coming out soon for it. Uncharted 3 isn’t just the best PS3 game of 2011, it very well could be the best PS3 game of all-time. A Masterpiece indeed. You need this in your life.
